HOW OUR WHOLE TEAM FELT NOSTALGIC LISTENING TO 2000S SONGS
Our Music Late 2000s Quiiiizz—that was the theme of the February 2025 team quest at Marketing Link. We guessed hit songs from the late 2000s (and a bit from the early 2000s too).
This time, no one left without a prize. But the size of your prize depended on how much of a music fan you were—because everyone picked their gifts in order. Natalia, Roma, and Serhii got the medals, while Vlad and Oksana fell slightly behind. Still, everyone had their own strengths and weaknesses—because we all had different tastes back then.
Some people couldn’t tell the difference between Zibrov and Poplavskyi, and someone even thought “Injector Repair” sounded more real than “Water Repair”. Some of us grew up with pop energy and light rock vibes from M1, while others listened to alternative rock and folk.

There was a lot of nostalgic music—we even remembered dancing to slow songs at school discos.

“Music is energy”, said Natalia Mandrykina, our winner. And she was totally right—because nothing brings people together like watching our favorite music videos. Sometimes we just guessed, and sometimes we knew the melody from the very first second. That Friday evening definitely added a few years to our lives—every question brought tons of laughter and good vibes.

Someone identified as a kid at heart and wanted a stollen with chocolate, while someone else chose the stollen because the filling was soaked in alcohol 🙂. Treats are always nice, of course—but the real highlight was the good time spent with smiling teammates and stars like Gorchica, Lama, Irena Karpa, and even Mozhovyi. Ivan was waiting (in vain) for Stepan Giga, and I personally hoped for Ivo Bobul.
Maybe Yulia calculated our energy levels and decided not to include them—or Zibrov—in the quiz, so we wouldn’t get too overwhelmed with nostalgia.

By the end, we all got swept up in memories of past quizzes and prizes—like how Natalia treated the whole neighborhood to olives, Roma made tasty pancakes from gifted flour, and Anya is still working through her rice supply.

In short, it was a joy—a chance to relive carefree youth and win delicious prizes. And the gifts really were luxury:
- sweetened condensed coconut milk;
- chocolate coconut sauce;
- dried mango;
- two honey stollens;
- roasted salted California pistachios;
- apricot, vanilla, and black currant marshmallows;
- three kinds of panettone—limoncello, tiramisu, and chocolate.

“An unforgettable hour and a half of Ukrainian music aged like fine wine for at least fifteen years, maybe more”,—that’s how Yulia announced our online event. And she wasn’t exaggerating—it was seriously amazing. Even the prize-picking process was more exciting than announcing the Eurovision winners.

Thanks to everyone—and we can’t wait for more relaxed and heartfelt meetups like this one.
