SEO is like a long-term investment—you optimize your website gradually and for lasting results, while Paid Search Ads drive traffic to your website and temporarily increase revenue and conversions, but only as long as you pay for each click.

Because of the ongoing need to pay for every click, many believe that Paid Search Ads cannot compare to organic search results. This is partly true: research shows that 40% of users click on paid ads. However, advertising is crucial for Google, and it does everything to ensure users keep clicking on ads—it is constantly optimized, new tools are introduced, and, most importantly, bid costs and competition continue to rise. If you decide to launch ads from a new account, you should allocate time to “warm it up.”

Google constantly improves its ads, making them less noticeable and more personalized. Facebook follows a similar approach. If you focus only on Paid Search Ads, you will always have to pay, as they lack the cumulative effect of SEO. In contrast, SEO results can start to show after about six months, depending on the budget.
