“If you want a great holiday—create it yourself.” That’s what we thought, so we ran not one but two Halloween contests: a costume (hat/upper look) contest and a poetry contest. We set the rules and got ready for the spookiest holiday of the year.

Halloween Contest Rules

1. Costume contest (upper-body look)—each participant had to choose makeup, an outfit, or a character, and the whole team voted for the winner.
2. Poetry contest—we expected everyone to submit a scary story in verse or prose (if poetry didn’t work out), but we were genuinely impressed by the variety of poems.
3. Best character presentation—everyone told the story behind their character.

Our Winners & Prizes

👋Best presentation—Ivan (Tommy Vercetti)—won troll eyes and a special prize from Mykola: a kilo of teeth. Ivan shared a creepy real-life story about a deceased neighbor. The fact that it was real made it truly chilling—exactly what you want for Halloween.

🐰Best costume—Roma Illyushko—Roger Rabbit + a fluffy white cat—won a bottle of Kraken Black Spiced.

🔮Best poem—Anya Ovchinnikova—Chucky Doll—won Dead Man’s Fingers rum. Her poem was about a terrifying ROI from a demanding client.

🧙‍♀️Anya Ponomaryova—a charming Potion-Brewing Witch—won a special prize from Yulia: pumpkin seeds. She wrote a poem about a witch.

🐲Vlad—the honorable Mr. Dragon.

🎃Myroslav—The Pumpkin That Makes You Suffer, wrote a poem “Sweet Threats.”

👸🏿Natasha—The Holy Black Queen of Marketing prepared a poem about Pumpkin Salvation.

🥷🏻Roma Chaika—Serial Killer.

🏮Serhii—Jack with the Lantern.

🎩Yulian—Head of the Order of the Red Dead wrote a magical haiku.

👹Yulia—Devil’s Assistant wrote a poem about our demanding client.

What stood out the most: Ivan’s story about the dead neighbor, Natasha’s optimistic pumpkin-themed poem, Yulian’s haiku, and of course all the unforgettable costumes 🥰
