MARKETING LINK’S MYKOLA LUKASHUK SERVED AS A JUDGE AT THE 2025 AMA INTERNATIONAL COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE

Mykola Lukashuk, Founder and CEO of Marketing Link, was selected as a volunteer judge for the 2025 AMA International Collegiate Conference—ICC, organized by the American Marketing Association.

In a letter from Lore Gil, Manager, Collegiate Communities at AMA, Mykola was officially notified: “Congratulations, you’ve been selected.” He was invited to judge student marketing competitions as part of AMA ICC 2025, which took place April 3–5, 2025, in New Orleans.

For Marketing Link, this is an important professional recognition. Serving as a judge at AMA ICC is not the same as entering a competition as a nominee or receiving an award for a project. It is an expert role in which a marketing professional evaluates student work, helps maintain the quality of the competition process, and contributes to the development of the industry’s future professionals.

About the 2025 AMA International Collegiate Conference

The AMA International Collegiate Conference is an annual American Marketing Association event for students, collegiate marketing communities, educators, and industry professionals.

In 2025, the conference was held under the theme “Evolve.” AMA described it as an opportunity for students to grow, adapt to changes in marketing, participate in competitions, attend career preparation programs, connect with professionals, and gain practical experience.

Student competitions are a major part of ICC. These are more than academic exercises. Students work on real or realistic business challenges, present marketing solutions, and demonstrate strategic thinking, creativity, analytical skills, and the ability to work as a team.

About the Judging Role

In 2025, Mykola Lukashuk was invited to serve as a Volunteer Judge for AMA ICC.

The AMA letter shows that after judges were selected, the organization finalized judging assignments, scheduled a required judge training call, and provided information about the role, expectations, and evaluation process.

This role requires not only marketing experience but also the ability to objectively evaluate student work, including the structure of the idea, strategic logic, presentation quality, feasibility of recommendations, creativity, analytical foundation, and the potential impact of the proposed solution.

For Mykola, this also continued his professional involvement in international competitions and educational initiatives. He had previously served as a judge for the Stevie® Awards, and his participation in AMA ICC 2025 added a new dimension—working with the next generation of marketing professionals.

What Judges Evaluate in Marketing Competitions

  • a clear understanding of the challenge;
  • audience analysis;
  • the logic behind the marketing strategy;
  • justification for the selected channels;
  • feasibility of the recommendations;
  • presentation quality;
  • the connection between the idea, execution, and results;
  • the team’s ability to explain its decisions.

“Serving as a judge at the 2025 AMA International Collegiate Conference is an important professional and educational role for me.

I’m interested in seeing how students think about marketing, how they build strategies, present ideas, and try to combine creativity with business logic. The future of marketing will belong not simply to those who communicate well, but to those who can think systematically, work with data, and explain how an idea translates into results.

As the founder of Marketing Link, this is also an opportunity for me to support young professionals and share a practical industry perspective.”
